We built Pawrate to help you care for the animal you love. We also want it to reach the ones who haven't been as lucky as ours.
Every animal deserves someone on their side.
A dog or cat in need is just like the one asleep at your feet: with a character all their own, a story of their own, and the same wish for a person to call theirs. Some are waiting in a shelter, others were abandoned, came from neglect, or from the illegal puppy trade. Help is needed in many places.
Shelters, foster homes and countless, often volunteer, helpers do an enormous amount here: they rescue animals, care for them, nurse them back to health, and find them new homes. In 2024 alone, the Deutscher Tierschutzbund recorded over 220 cases of illegal pet trade involving nearly 1,000 animals. We can only carry a small part of that. But that's exactly what we wanted to do, rather than look away.

Pawrate exists to make life with your dog or cat easier: reliable answers, recommendations we've checked, and better decisions. From every Paw AI+ subscription, we pass on a part as a donation to animals in need. Automatically, with nothing to sign up for and nothing to remember.
That donation goes to carefully chosen animal-welfare partners. By taking good care of your own pet, you're already helping another.

Pawrate was started by people who love their animals and worry about them just like you do. The wish to help animals in need comes from exactly that feeling. We're on their side, all of them.
We're not doing this to look good, and we won't dress it up as more than it is. It's a quiet promise we wanted to keep. And as Pawrate grows, so does the help we can pass on.
